How to Fix "error occurred while installing Source Filmmaker (Connection timeout)"

An error occurred while installing Source Filmmaker (Connection timeout)

It seems to be many people are experiencing problems installing SFM.

The most effective solution that proved helpful for me personally as well as quite a few other people was the following:

1. Proceed to sourcefilmmaker and click on the “install”  button

2. Simply click on next right until this will appear “Creating local game cache files”

3. Wait around 10-15 seconds and then click cancel (The “install” button for SFM should now read “Play”)

4. Right Click on SFM in your games list and choose “Delete local content”

5. Install the application once again and it should certainly work properly

If this doesn’t succeed then simply go through the steps once again, it will just take a couple of try’s to have it working.

    Another solution:
Just keep on trying to download it until it works.
