Microsoft’s latest sci-fi shooter mints $ 20 million much more than Halo: Reach on release day. The game is on pace hitting $ 300 million in first-week global sales.
Microsoft reported today that their latest sci-fi shooter struck $220 million upon its very first day and it is on pace hitting $ 300 million in first-week global sales.
Microsoft states that Halo 4's debut stands out as the "biggest entertainment launch of the year"
Halo 4 blasted previous 2010′s Bungie Studios-developed Halo: Reach, that delivered $ 200 million upon its first day (in the US and Europe). In addition, Halo 4′s launch day sales tend to be much better than 2007′s Halo 3, which took in $ 170 million in 1 day (in the US alone). Moreover, Microsoft's Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn Web series has got driven 46 million total views to date, Microsoft said. According to the company, 39 million of these views originated via Machinima's YouTube channel alone.
